ADIPEC is the can't-miss energy event of the year. ADNOC-hosted, ADNEC venue, four days. The 2025 edition reportedly drew 205,000+ attendees across the entire energy value chain — operators, NOCs, IOCs, service companies, technology vendors, governments, financiers.
Scale comparison
ADIPEC dwarfs the next-largest oil & gas events by ~3x. For context:
- ADIPEC 2025 — 205,000+
- Gastech — ~50,000
- ATCE — ~5,300
- EAGE Annual — ~5,000
2025 themes
- Decarbonisation across the entire value chain — every major operator presented a transition strategy
- AI in upstream + midstream — dedicated 4-day "Digitalisation in Energy" sub-conference
- Carbon storage at scale — NEOM-adjacent CCS projects, GCC regional storage hubs
- Hydrogen + ammonia — global supply-chain conversation, Middle East as the export anchor
What we did
Tarry attended the AI-in-Energy track + worked the floor + had ~15 substantive operator conversations. The biggest takeaways:
- Middle East operators are spending serious capital on AI. Not pilots — production deployments.
- Subsurface AI talent is being aggressively recruited from Europe + North America to GCC NOCs.
- The talent gap in the Middle East is even sharper than in the West, which makes pre-built AI tooling like EarthScan's particularly valuable here.
