AI in Oil & Gas Conference 2026 — London
Specialist conference on AI applications across upstream / midstream / downstream oil & gas. Smaller and more focused than ADIPEC or ATCE — closer to a working session than a trade show.

AI in Oil & Gas Conference (AIOG) is a specialist three-day event in London, 17-19 November. Smaller scale than the geoscience giants — typically ~250-400 attendees — but the audience is focused exclusively on the AI/ML implementation problem in operator workflows.
Why this conference is unusually useful
The AI-in-Energy track at SPE / EAGE / IMAGE / ADIPEC dilutes the conversation. Attendees include researchers, business people, executives, and casual passers-by. AIOG is filtered: the people in the room are the ones implementing AI in operator workflows.
The result: the conversations are denser, the questions are sharper, and the customer relationships move faster.
EarthScan plans
This is one of the rare conferences where Tarry + Tannistha both attend. Speaker-track topics under consideration:
- Tarry: "From research-prototype to operator deployment: three years of EarthScan deployments, distilled" — a direct talk on what works and what doesn't in AI-for-subsurface procurement
- Tannistha: "Domain adaptation for cross-basin transfer: CORAL, MMD, and what comes next" — technical session
What we'll watch
- Operator-side AI maturity benchmarks — annual update on who's where on the maturity curve
- MLOps for petroleum workflows — production deployment pattern presentations
- Shadow AI adoption — operators internally rolling ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini for engineering work
- Procurement model evolution — software vs. consulting vs. managed-service for AI deployment
A focused, productive 3 days. Not flashy. Just the right people having the right conversations.
