AMSTERDAM, 18 June 2026 - EarthScan today announced that GreenScan, its applied-AI venture for renewable and low-carbon energy, has been consolidated into the EarthScan group. Solar, wind, carbon capture and storage (CCUS), battery and electric-vehicle energy ventures now sit alongside EarthScan’s subsurface and upstream work under one applied-AI discipline, spanning the full energy value chain from the subsurface to the grid.
The move unifies two teams that were already sharing the same foundation: a single applied and agentic AI method, the Hominis foundation-model stack, and a delivery model built for on-prem, data-sovereign deployment inside operator estates. Under the EarthScan group, GreenScan continues as the dedicated brand for the energy transition, now backed by the group’s full research, engineering and deployment capability.
For clients, the change removes a choice that never made sense. Operators no longer need one AI partner for conventional energy and a separate one for the transition. A single group now carries the same rigour across seismic imaging, well-log interpretation and drilling advisory on one side, and solar yield forecasting, wind-asset management, CCUS site screening and EV-charging demand on the other.
Energy is one system. The same applied-AI discipline that reads a carbonate reservoir can forecast a solar farm’s output or screen a CCUS site for containment. Bringing GreenScan inside EarthScan lets us carry one method, one platform and one team across the whole of energy, from the subsurface to the grid. Our clients get a single partner for where their business is today and where it is heading.
The consolidation also simplifies how the group is run and funded, bringing both businesses onto one operating model.
Unifying GreenScan into the EarthScan group is a discipline as much as a strategy. One operating model, one delivery engine and a shared foundation-model stack take duplicated cost out of the business and let us invest where it compounds. It gives our clients a single, accountable counterpart, and it gives the group the financial clarity to scale applied AI responsibly across both conventional and transition energy.
GreenScan-branded products and services remain available, and existing GreenScan engagements continue without interruption. Clients and partners can reach the combined team through the EarthScan group at earthscan.io.
